South Beach Bingo Review

Pulling down the shades at night, and putting on my sunglasses

I have always been infatuated with Jackie Kennedy. The era of Camelot from a time gone by, but never forgotten. She was known for her signature pearls in a era where romance touched the White House and the country. As the years had slipped away so did her pearls. She acquired a new trademark….sunglasses. Rarely was she seen without them. In an article on her life, she was asked why she always wore sunglasses and I will never forget her reply. “Sunglasses hide the windows of your soul”…… Sitting down to play at Southbeach Bingo reminded me of that quote.

The sun has long gone down but not at Southbeach Bingo. Entering the Nickel Room, the yellow so bright like the morning sun I was tempted to slide my sunglasses on my head over my eyes. This room is daylight 24 hours a day! I purchased 18 cards for .90. with a prize worth $12.75. The pattern was the US flag. One of the roomies commented that she couldn’t understand how that pattern was a flag. I had to giggle and replied to her in chat I don’t see it either! The jackpot was worth $626.77 if a player bingo’d in 19 calls or less.

There was a nice crowd in the room as the chitter chatter of bingo players got close with one number. I needed one number….N 33. I was down to one number for at least 10 calls. I was the first one to announce 1TG! I was so certain I had a shot of winning! While some roomies prayed to the Bingo Gods, more and more roomies were calling out the one number they needed. Then the dreaded voice of the caller……”a bingo has been called” and It was not N 33! As I congratulated the winner I mumbling to myself @#^$@#%!

I flipped my sunglasses back on my head and said the sun will be back out tomorrow as a new day dawns. But the sun will always shine at Southbeach Bingo, win lose or draw!
