Online Bingo Sites May Be Spared of a US Seizure
U.S. Government's wrath was felt once again in the online gambling community. The sneak attack on April 15th gave a mighty sucker punch right between the eyes to Full Tilt Poker, Poker Stars, UB.com and Absolute Poker. While U.S. poker players only concern was whether to raise, check or go all in, the Department of Justice swooped down like an aggressive, powerful eagle. Five years have passed since the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act before the sleeping giant came out after a long slumbering hibernation.

In reality the American player knew it was eminent. All the warning signs were there with the shut down of payment processors. Still, this die hard player fought back looking for every loophole in the system to play. After all we can't really blame them because it defies everything the country stands for in freedom and the rights for these citizens. It's this type of dictatorship that causes rebellion in a ruling that makes no sense. Or perhaps it does make a whole lot of sense, considering that there is billions of dollars at stake. When there is this kind of cash being exchanged and profits being made the US wants their cut plain and simple. Masquerading behind the pretense that money laundering and gambling addictions run rampant, stating it's only in the best interest of it's people is clearly a misleading misconception. The United States may be a young country, but the American people weren't born yesterday.

Speculation is, it will only get worse before it gets better for the rest of the online gaming industry. As for avid bingo players, they are a small fish in this vast sea of bigger and fatter fish to snare. There is no rod and reel with a meal worm on the end of the hook in this operation. The focus is on the whales in the industry that produce the largest revenue. Predictions lean towards a safe haven for the bingo community. The bingo balls will persevere, the caller will live on and the players will continue chatter among themselves in this tight knit community.

Behind every dark cloud is a silver lining. Although it may look bleak at the moment for US players, it is a positive step towards freedom. Once the Government is through cleaning house, the way will be paved for legalizing Internet gambling. They are just reminding us and the rest of the gambling world that they want a piece of the bureaucratic pie and to teach us all a lesson. More then likely they will end up with the biggest piece of pie of all. How did they ever let all this wealth slip through their hands in the first place? For most American people it can be answered in one word, taxes. It is a complex process and a tangled mess to assure there is taxation on wins. But have no fear folks, regulating a tax reform has never been a problem for long in the US of A.
