Woman aged 54 gets hit by a car

Only moments after she won a share in $200 bingo prize at a local bowls club, a woman aged 54 got hit by a car.

This sad news came from Frankston, where an allegedly stolen Mercedes hit Jenny Moller while she was crossing Skye Road.

According to one of the club's bingo organizers, Bob Stevens, Ms Moller had been a "battler" who supported two late primary school-aged children and came to the club regularly on Fridays for about eight years, occasionally bringing her daughter during the school holidays.

"She struggled through life,” he said. “I only knew her through bingo — but she really enjoyed her bingo.

"On her last game of bingo she shared a $200 prize and she told me she had had a win at the pokies centre on Thursday. You just never know," he added.

At the moment when she was hit, Ms Moller was apparently crossing the road to meet her husband who was waiting in his parked car for her. It has been reported that she was immediately treated by ambulance officers but that she died later.

In addition, the police stated that the white high-performance E63 Mercedes Benz that ran over Ms Moller clipped another car before hitting her. At the moment, the authorities are still looking for the driver described as a brown-haired man wearing a white t-shirt and peak cap.
