New CEO at Veikkaus OY

This week the Veikkaus Oy board of directors appointed Juha Koponen (46) as the company's new chief executive officer effective October 2, 2012.

Prior to this, Koponen worked at the Finnish Pharmaceutical Company, Tamro Group, where he served as president and chief executive officer.

It has been specified by Suvi-Ann Siimes, Chairman of the Veikkaus Board of Directors that the new appointment comes as a token of belief that Koponen’s extensive experience in demanding positions within corporate management, his ethics and his inclusive leadership style will benefit the company’s interests.
