On November 20th, a total of 75 employees of the Rank Group were asked to attend a special lunch to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the group at Pinewood Studios. Steve Rose, 28, was presented with the trip at the lunch for his kind acts. Rose paid customers a visit in the hospital and took food to those with difficulty venturing out in the cold weather.
Rose is a member of the staff at a Mecca Bingo in Beeston. After the announcement of his win he “went as white as a sheet” and is “still in shock” over this amazing gift.
"Stephen is a great ambassador for our club and for Mecca generally. He represents all that is best in customer service”, said Neil Tams, General Manager of the Mecca Bingo club.

What a wonderful surprise for Mr. Rose! It is always nice to hear when nice things happen to deserving people. It sounds like he has consistently gone out of his way willingly to help those in need. Can you imagine? He probably thought that attending the special luncheon at Pinewood Studios was a wonderful treat all...

I know when my employers would treat the employees to a group meal it was always a very memorable event. They would go all out to treat us specially during that time. And then to be awarded the surprise gift of the trip to Vegas... no wonder he seems to have gone into shock. I am sure it was unexpected and well deserved. I hope he has a wonderful trip and that he wins plenty of money there so that he can return again someday. It is good for employers to take notice and reward employees for their excellent service. Too many people receive nothing but their pay and are never recognized as the outstanding employees that they have worked hard to become.
