Go plc. to Power Malta’s Lottery Contractor’s Online Action
This week saw a supply contract inked by Malta's lottery contractor Maltco's CEO Ioannis Katakis and Go plc chief exec Yiannos Michaelides, thanks to which Maltco's online action will be powered by Go.

Maltco is a subsidiary of the Intralot Group, which received its first license to run the National Lottery of Malta for a period of eight years exclusively in 2004, and renewed its license with the Lotteries and Gaming Authority this year, along with a further ten-year concession.

The new Go infrastructure will see Maltco move from the current legacy network to Ethernet, which will give it more flexibility, higher speeds and enhanced management. Also, all 240 Maltco agencies will receive the required speeds while having a constant mobile 3G backup.

According to Dr. Katakis, Maltco can realize its plans to invest in a new fully-animated gaming experience only in states where a stable infrastructure is available.

“For over nine years Go plc has provided us with an impeccable range of telecommunications services which include fixed line and mobile telephony, digital broadband and IP services as well as internet and data networking solutions.

“In view of Go's proven working commitment, the two companies have accepted to enter into another multi-year service contract,” he said.
