iLottery Content Library Launched by GTech
A centralised iLottery content library named "Game Market" has been launched by GTech using the company's Lottery Developer Network contents.

GTech product marketing executive Paul Riley commented on the release:

“The Game Market is the next major building block in revolutionizing the way in which interactive games are developed and brought to market for lotteries. It puts the control of game content firmly in the hands of the lottery operator and allows a lottery to rapidly update its product mix.”

The Game Market showcases instant interactive games and allows third-party content developers to deliver games to the iLottery space.

Basically, the Game Market represents a distribution channel for lotteries in the same manner as iTunes and Netflix work for traditional consumers.

In this way, lotteries are provided with a wide range of certified games that can be accessed via a secure private portal which offers trials and evaluations based on past performance and lottery-submitted reviews.

GTech claims that "time to market" concerns are mitigated by using the facility, as it allows a lottery to select and configure games through the portal. The portal then automatically generates the relevant work order to install the game on the player-facing website.

The extensive range of game configuration options includes selecting a prize structure, setting grid size, configuring prize tiers, customizing the pay-out percentage, adjusting the progressive jackpot and scheduling the go-live date and time.
