Michigan Online Lottery Sales Look Promising
After 10 months in operation the online Michigan State Lottery has been quite successful with very little marketing.

Jeff Holyfield, PR director for the lottery, says the results are "promising" and a loyalty program has been introduced along with advertising investments.

According to the stats, there have been 133,000 new online player accounts with more than 300,000 instant tickets sold each day generating $500,000 daily.

“There is no indication that the online games are affecting sales at our 11,000 retailers,” said Holyfield to the publication OPR. “In fact, we continue to see sales growing in all channels.”

Michigan lottery officials project revenue of $480 million from online sales over the next 8 years. Online lottery currently contributes under 10 percent of total Lottery sales in Michigan.

At the moment, there are 18 games available including 17 scratch tickets and Keno.
