Canada's Intertain Group has purchased the rights to Parlay's most current bingo software source code (BSSC) and the bingo.ca domain in a CDN $2.8 million cash deal.
"Intertain has acquired some of the leading bingo brands in the world during the past 12 months and it has been our plan to eventually own a proprietary bingo platform to provide the Company with options and flexibility for our current and future business," said John Kennedy FitzGerald, president and chief executive officer of Intertain.
Intertain also recently acquired Vera&John casino and its new acquisition will allow the company to introduce a new bingo offering with the integration of the bingo platform including side games.
The deal will see Intertain gain access to Parlay's back office system and HTML5 mobile bingo products. It has also licensed a series of casino, mini and side games with direct integration capabilities.
Bingo.ca gives Intertain the ability to release a Canada-wide free-to-play bingo network according to the company.
