Sun and Fabulous Bingo to Swap Gamesys for Virtue Fusion in 2016
Sun Bingo and Fabulous Bingo have plans to switch gaming platforms in 2016.

Currently operating on the Gamesys platform, both brands have signed on with Playtech for its Virtue Fusion bingo platform in a 5-year deal. For those of you not comfortable with change, you've got until the third quarter of next year, when the transition will take place, to get used to the idea. The websites and mobile offerings will relaunch in August 2016 once the migration process is complete.

"The Playtech-powered Sun Bingo will use cutting-edge technology to offer best-performing and highly innovative bingo and side games, with fantastic promotions and prizes and the industry's largest jackpots,” said Mor Weizer, chief executive of Playtech, in a press release.

London based Gamesys was acquired by Canadian company Intertain Group Ltd earlier this year along with its B2C UK gaming business, which included sites like Jackpotjoy. “Our stated vision is to focus on the female demographic, in regulated markets,” said John Kennedy FitzGerald, chief executive officer of Intertain, of the deal back in February 2015. “This acquisition is consistent with this vision.'

Sister sites Sun and Fabulous Bingo will now use the same Alderney licensed software found at major bingo operators like Mecca, Gala, Ladbrokes, William Hill, Sky, Bet365, Unibet and Paddy Power, to name a few. The customizable platform includes familiar bingo rooms such as Lucky Numbers and Last Chance Saloon, mini games provided by Playtech, Ash and GTS and Playtech's portfolio of Slots.

We're not sure what the reason for the software swap is but Virtue Fusion licensees boast a combined total of more than 60,000 players each day.
