Award-winning, English singer-songwriter, Ed Sheeran has an unexpected twin working as an employee at Mecca Bingo. Born in Yorkshire, Sheeran is no stranger to the UK, so it's no wonder the public is mistaking 21 year-old, Ty Jones, for the musician. Being just three years his junior, and donning the same tousled, red hair, blue eyes, pale skin and freckles, the resemblance between Ed and Ty is quite remarkable.
Ty hails from Manchester, and works at Mecca Bingo, receiving tons of attention for his appearance. He is a huge fan of the artist, and has even been featured on the popular English TV show, 'Lookalikes,' and has been interviewed for major magazines. In his spare time, he also makes cash as an Ed impersonator.
Because he looks so much like the musician, he reports often being swarmed in public with people wanting to know if he's Ed or not.
In response to what it's like looking like a celebrity, Ty said, “It does come in handy sometimes on nights out and things, and people go really crazy when they've had a drink.”
His looks even earned him an encounter with Ed, himself, back in 2012, who was shocked at the resemblance. The meeting followed after a post circulated, stating Ed was at a rave in Manchester, when it was actually Ty.
Ty added, “Meeting Ed has been the highlight in all of this, he was so down to earth and just so shocked that at how much I looked like him, it was really funny.”
It has been reported that the two have even made plans to see each other again, and perhaps sing a song together.
