Top 2016 Bingo Newcomers

It's nearly a week into the new year and we still can't stop talking about 2016. As we look to the future, it seemed fitting to look to the past. It was a pretty busy time for the bingo industry as new brands were popping up left and right. We reviewed many of them here and a few simply stand head and shoulders above the rest. Here's a recap of some of the most noteworthy bingo sites listed on LBB in 2016.

Members Ratings

Players rely heavily on the feedback of others. This is why rating your favorite sites is so critical. Our rating system is based half and full star ratings with 5 stars being the best possible outcome. All of the sites to follow have achieve a player rating of 4 or better.

Katie's Bingo - 4.2 Stars

As a bingo player, you tend to know what other players want, right? This edge came in handy for Katie and her husband, Matt, when they were considering launching a bingo brand of their own. Bingo is popular in the UK, so as a Brit herself, Katie knew exactly what not to do. She had been working for a site for a while and recognized the shortcomings.

The idea behind her brand was to incorporate a personal touch. In an exclusive interview with us, Katie described how the name was chosen. 'We actually started with a totally different brand name but as we were making the site the look and feel just didn't go! I was thinking about things that people like and I had recently been on holiday to Benidorm. Our favourite bar was 'Andy's Bar'; I mean people buy from people right? So after a long debate, mainly about me being a big head for wanting to name it after myself (ha!), I won and Katie's Bingo was born.'

Another major decision was which platform to go with, but Dragonfish seemed like the perfect match. In March 2016, Katie's Bingo went live. LBB'ers have access to exclusive free spins with no deposit, an increased sign-up bonus and a bingo bonus in the LCB Shop. In addition to all these goodies, first time depositors may claim a $3 chip reward from us.

Last but not least, the site also went on to become our October 2016 site of the month. We'd say they're off to one hell of a start!

Health Bingo - 4.15 Stars

We listed this site last year along with its lottery product, Health Lottery. Directed at UK players, the multi-software platform delivers quite a collection of games from Blueprint Gaming, Genesis, IGT, Games Warehouse, NetEnt, NextGen, NYX Gaming, Microgaming and Rabcat.

A portion of all sales, 20% to be exact, is donated to health related charities across the UK. Not only do they give back to worthy causes, but they've got some of the best terms we've seen. Overall, they've got a fantastic product. In fact, it wasn't easy to find any disadvantages for playing there. Instant cashouts aren't common in the bingo industry, but they're par for the course for Health Bingo. A £10,000 daily withdrawal limit isn't too shabby either.

Among standard 75-ball and 90-ball rooms, player will also find free bingo and speed bingo. Newer slots to appear on the site include Count Duckula, Properity Dragon, Cupid: Wild at Heart, King Kong Cash, Cleopatra Plus, Fairytale Legends and Kingdom of Wealth, to name a few.

Beyond the new welcome bonus, every deposit up to £100 is eligible for a 50% reload bonus.

Players located in the UK have a true gem at their fingertips.

Hunky Bingo - 4.15 Stars

Hunky Bingo and its sister site, Zinger Bingo, were listed on LBB in early 2016 followed by the 3rd sister site, Dabber Bingo, in December. All three brands offer a different look and feel using the same reliable Dragonfish platform.

Earn points for your play and move up the loyalty ladder. The benefits include bingo and games cashback, free spins on some of your favorite slot games and free tickets to the Big £10K Game.

Dragonfish terms and conditions say that players from certain countries may not cashout more than the amount of their total deposits. Naturally, players from these locations would see this as a disadvantage, so in an interview, we asked a representative from these brands to clarify it for us and here's what he had to say: 'This is not a rule, it is a right to reserve policy due to credit card fraud in certain countries. In addition, the majority of these countries are not known for playing bingo games. I don't want to highlight any particular country in this interview as it would be unfair, but any persons playing bingo from these countries are generally fraudulent. These rules have never been enforced at our Bingo rooms and we trust that they never will.'

All three brands are currently LBB rewards participants. Not only that, but we've got exclusive offers on top of the already generous sign-up bonuses. Hunky and Zinger are featured in the LCB shop among the first bingo bonuses to become available.

mFortune Bingo - 4.15 Stars

Geared for mobile players, mFortune's games are not limited to smartphones and tablets. Players may also log in from desktop computers. Start out exploring the games with a no deposit bonus. The popularity of mobile games continues to be rise and you guys have spoken. The site holds a pretty great rating based on LBB member votes.

The mobile fun begins with a 100% bonus for new players. After that, there's a 10% reload to top off every deposit you make. Speaking of deposits, players may fund their accounts with their phone bills. How's that for convenience?

The platform was developed in-house, so your experience in the bingo rooms will be totally unique. If you're interested in casino games, as many bingo players are, you can toggle over to the casino, where you'll also find a range of proprietary slot games.

High Hopes for 2017

The new year is underway and it won't be long before we continue adding to our list of bingo sites. What will this year bring? Will we see more software integrations than ever before? Will mobile gaming continue to pave the way forward? I suppose we'll just have to wait to find out. What would you like to see in the world of bingo? Let us know. We'd love to hear your opinions.

Good luck in all your bingo adventures.
