I am using it in 10-15 minute bursts.  Not so great for a nice long hour of bingo, but so far so good.  I was hoping it would spontaneously recover, but so far no good.

Sometimes I think I am dreaming in some kind of bingo or slots 'code'.  I'm often half-waking and dreaming about something in particular and a number pops up into my thoughts.  Doze a little more, wake at a particular point and there's another.  I hope my mind figures out the magic combination soon.

Last night I had an intense dream.  I was at a college where I used to work many years ago, and someone started calling my name.  When I figured out who, they wanted me to hurry and get to a conference where they needed me for some urgent reason.

So I followed, and there was a whole crowd of people, and it was, uh, crowded...  and for some reason everyone was acting like I was working there again.  Oh, shoot!  I remembered a few weeks ago I had been out there and applied for a job.  I was supposed to start...when?  Oh shoot, was I late for my first day?  I was dressed in some silly combination of a nice dressy shirt and my worst pair of blue jeans.  There weren't any tables or chairs unoccupied for me to sit for the conference.  They were talking about some software issues that I had known about when working there previously, and as if there was a HUGE problem with it.  It affected one course for about 12 students.  I figured that there would have been thousands for them to make such a fuss.

Oh, this went on forever.  I got hungry and tried to find a place to get some food, but only got lost on this massive campus, and tired, and knew I should get back to the conference.  I finally found some familiar looking faces and followed them, but still couldn't make sense of the location or what was going on.  I figured if I was this dense, to be late, dressed wrong, and not understanding or hearing anything correctly, I probably shouldn't be trying to perform this job any longer.  I think I was right.

I'd like my brain to stick on trying to rig my bingo games for a big win.

Maybe you can get the winning lottery numbers. Wouldn't that be amazing!

Hey, guess what?  The fan on the laptop is working again!  Thanks to all the good thoughts.  They (and perhaps a strong bump on the table from me) fixed whatever the problem was.  I feel a lot better now.  I like it when the luck changes for the better.

Ah, almost October.

Time for the spooks to come out at the bingo sites.  Usually lots of good specials. Maybe even some free bonuses or games dedicated to the upcoming Halloween fun.  I could sure use some diversion from the last few days.  None of the freebies panned out into a win, stress on the home front, a plague of tiny flying insects that keep wanting to fly up my nose while I'm typing.  I guess I forgot about this time of year and the insects out here.  Have killed so many wasp nests and there are so many more I keep finding.

Last year I had blacklights on the porch as part of my little decorations for halloween.  They looked pretty cool, but then on closer inspection, it was a real horror story.  The light tubes had tiny moths buzzing all around, and a clan of preying mantises of all sizes walked along the tubes and had a gory feast  going on.  I couldn't help but watch, and it was brutal.  I wish these little flying things would find their way outside and find a similar fate as the moths.

I know I shouldn't wish away my days, but I'm hoping November gets here soon.  I like it when the weather turns colder.  Less bugs and less of an electric bill without the air conditioners running all day and night.  Goodbye, September.  Hope to see you again next year!

Oh those preying mantises are mean little suckers. I slipped out for a smoke at a place I used to work and there was one on a bush for days. I thought we were friends until one day he lunged at me and took off. Pfff so much for friendship!

It seems like a day doesn't go by without me hearing Bingo! on TV.  I know my world is full of coincidences, but it's getting a little strange.  *-*

There's a topic about Football Bingo that really made me want to try different kinds of bingo games.  That particular one is to play at your football parties and instead of numbers has things like "first down".  Imagining myself at a football party and playing has been entertaining my mind for a few days now.  That's probably as close as I'll get, but still, I'm enjoying thinking about it!

So, I looked around and found a game that looks fun, Amazing Bingo.  It's a board game, with dice and a few rules.  Haven't looked into everything about it but it looks like a nice game and I wish the inventors lots of luck with their sales.  Here's a little picture...

Sometimes my picture can't be found, but I hope this one works for y'all.  I was trying to find some bingo ball halloween costumes and found one for bingo cards instead.

Looks like fun.

Sometimes it seems that frustration, delays, last minute changes, and trouble are out to get me.  Too bad.  I'm not that easy to get.

Got a little 38 cent win in the freeroll.  Played a little bit of Keno with that.  I wasn't too keen on the outcome, but it lasted longer than buying one card and watching the balls drop.

Still hearing 'bingo' almost everyday on the television.  This last one was on 'The First 48'.  I actually didn't hear it, but read it on the closed-captioning.  I would have missed it otherwise.  That makes two on crime shows.  The rest of the time it's usually on Adult Swim or a sitcom.  Yeah, I watch a lot of TV.  Or, the TV is usually on, whether I'm watching it or on the computer just having some background noise.

Up early this morning, wanted some iced tea but all there was was ICE tea.  I put it in the freezer usually until it gets frosty with icy crystals.  yum.  But it got put in the freezer and left all night long.  Now it's sitting on the table thawing out and I'm having Big Red for my morning thirst quencher.  Ugh.  I like it, but wasn't really ready to have a glass for breakfast.  Really need to hit a nice grocery store and re-supply my refrigerator.

I had to look up Big Red chilly. I had never heard of that before. Does it really taste like bubble gum?

OMG you've never had Big Red?  I have a picture of my older brother as a baby with a bottle of big red with a nipple on the top of the bottle so he could drink it!  He had to have us send it to the Azores when he was stationed there back in the 70's.

It's a little like red cream soda, much tastier.  As for tasting like bubble gum, well, not exactly.  It beats out red cream soda like bubble gum beats out chewing gum. There is a 'Big Red' chewing gum, no association; that tastes like cinnamon.

It is a fairly unique flavor.  Pretty sweet, a little red-fruity, bubbly deliciousness.  Very smooth going down.  I think it was the 'original' red cream soda but like I said, it's different than plain red cream soda.

It is (or was originally) bottled by Barq's, which is probably more well known for it's rootbeer.  Back in the day, my dad's construction company worked on their bottling plant in downtown San Antonio.  It's a round building with a big flower painted on top.  If anyone has been up to the Tower of the Americas, you've probably seen it from above.  I guess my family is pretty much pro-big red.  My youngest daughter, now in Florida, has been asking for someone to send her some Big Red.

They have other flavors now, Big Peach, Big Pineapple, Big Blue  I don't like blue things (sorry, blue) to eat (lol) or drink so I've never tried it nor any of the other versions.  Maybe I'm a 'purist'.  But for 'soda pop' you can't get more soda poppy than a nice cold glass of Big Red!

I forgot to mention earlier that yesterday I got two BINGOs in ONE game!

Of Scrabble.  LOL

I scored 407 points, I think my all-time high score.
