Do You Think Ghost Players Really Exist?

Hiya Members,

Often we here about players who always seem to win and it is especially noticeable when we are on a losing streak. Some players claim that they are a plant hired by the site that repeatedly wins aka Ghost player.

Do you think there are plants hired by sites to win or there is really no actual player at all that wins and it's made up when they are on a winning streak?

Both options seem possible to me, though second one seems cheaper thus more probable

They certainly have their interest in using such a marketing trick if i can call it that way, and i dont see anything that could made them not to, so i firmly believe one of those possibilities is certainly true. I think several times in the past i noticed same names with same amounts are are appearing all over again, so i dont think it sends a good message about casino, they either dont have many players or winnings are very rare or it is simply a quite stupid trick.

I dont pay attention on those things when playing anyway, simply because it does not influence my oppinion about the site in any way

A good question Lips!  This is not something I've actually thought about for bingo sites.  I hope it isn't so, but it is definitely possible.

If I think about how much cash a site could save if they did have a ghost player, it's really quite unnerving.

yes, i think 1 of your statements is true too, im sure there is some form of a ghost player in probably all online casinos, but only the casinos know the real truth of course

it isn't good if this is true, but i think it is.

(and then it makes us wonder if these online casinos allow this malpractice to take place, then what other malpractice do they get up too, so it makes us question the whole authenticity of all online casinos)

I have wondered that so many times. Some of the bingo sites have so many players and yet I've seen one player win more than once. Either they are really really lucky or something is not right.

As far as casinos, I don't pay attention to the big winners anywhere but Jackpot Party because it's hard to ignore especially with the chat function. Wins are displayed there as well as a win steam. I have seen players asking certain users in chat if they are real. I had to laugh when I saw that. I think a lot of people believe in the possibility of a ghost player.

I believe, because i saw the game with 20-25 players, but only 1-2 VINNERS and the same... when i playing in the hundreds, I do well, but not between 20?, if at least 30 games with 20-25 players and no one win. . it is strange...

I think the individual bingo rooms have ghost players to get them more! Bingo it is very easy to make something as ghost player, because its their money and they will not lose..

Reading the replies, reminded me of something that did occur to me whilst playing bingo.

Do you think the chat mods on these bingo sites have anything to do with who wins?

On one particular session at a site that shall remain nameless, one of the players said.  I need a win give me number...whatever it was.  The very next number was this person's number and the chat mod siad "ask and you will get".  Do you think this is along a similar line to a "ghost player" or was it just coincidence?

OMG blue are you serious. I've seen players say they need certain numbers and win shorty after but for a chat mod to make a statement like that. Hmmm was it an innocent comment about the players luck or was it something more. That probably wasn't the best thing to say with a bunch of roomies wondering what's going on.

It could have been an innocent comment as you say but it just all seemed "too" coincidental to me.

I guess we will never know but I'm going to keep my eye on that.

Wow if a bingo mod did do that i think the bingo operator should have fired her on the spot. It may have been coincidental considering the balls are computer generated as they are released. Nevertheless for a Mod to make a comment like she did put thoughts in players heads and is not something to joke about.

I guess there is also the same suspicion with Jackpot winners who win huge cash prizes that the names are actually fictitious. But in my heart of hearts i don't think there is ghost players and believe that those who win more often play more often.

I don't know if they are ghosts, or people that pre-buy and aren't in the room as the game is played. I think that number of players in the room, that they post, are only the ones playing "live." I know people win that are not in the room on chat when I am playing.

And don't some casinos that are linked actually play in a single game not different on each site. I am not sure about this one. Either way it negates the 25 shown in the room if they don't show pre-buys or other bingo rooms... maybe someone can tell me if this stuff is right, please?

The other thing is that some players buy max tickets for each game, which I assume would make them win more often...

As for the mods, I don't think they would have any way to influence the next number... aren't they RNG's too?

Yes Katt they are RNG so it would be impossible for a mod to have any power over it. But i can see where blue would be suspicious by the comment the mod made when the player won. That is totally wrong on her part to say that cuz it really raises red flags to players.

Thanks for that answer lips... And yeah, I think blue is right on with that... it does make you wonder... I notice the mods do always seem to have favorites that chat with them more and do win more often... and the statement that mod made does throw suspicions into my mind as well... a very unwise thing to say whether serious or joking.

usually shows how many players are inside particular game with cards bought, i think, it does not matter which room you are ..
