So glad you are enjoying the thread drtheolen! Just imagine a giant room attached to a
big casino with room for 800 people to play bingo.
While people are marking their numbers the place is totally quiet with all those people in there. The numbers come up but are not spoken aloud (they are on huge monitors all over the place showing the bingo ball that was drawn).
When someone gets a bingo they have to wait for the number to be announced, which happens just before the next number is drawn. Then they have to yell bingo in a set number of seconds.
You do not have to be anywhere near the person or persons that have the bingo to know someone has it and is waiting to yell. The hall full of people makes an unmistakable sound that radiates out from the winner waiting to yell bingo... a low murmur that grows little by little until the number is called and the winner(s) can yell.
It is an amazing experience drtheolen and I hope you enjoy hearing more about it since you don't have bingo halls where you live!
