When You are Hot You're Hot......and then you're not so hot

Hiya Cuties,

We all hear about losing but what about the times that lady luck is on your side? Have you ever had an incredible winning streak and think to yourself how in the world did this happen to me!

I have won three bingo games in a night and two were back to back wins.Though the wins were not huge i still consider it a streak of good luck.

I had two major winning streaks when i was on fire. It seemed like everything i played i hit it big time. My last winning streak was just a couple months ago when i managed to hit 5 Jackpots playing Video Poker in a two week period. All 5 of them i had to sign for so they were pretty juicy wins.

But now it is back to reality and Lady Luck has left me high and dry. Have you ever had a huge winning streak playing bingo or other games?

I've won a total of maybe 350 or so by winning back to back bingo games. Other than that I have won big a few times on slots but I can't say that I've had a streak. Ya know, now that I think of it, I wonder why I love slots so much because I'm really bad at it.  Nothing significant enough to call a streak over here.

No, never. I have won big occasionally on slots, but bingo is actually pretty bad. It has happened that I had an winning streak playing bingo but the winnings are rather insignificant.

I had quite solid winning streaks on slots several times, hiting 5 of kinds few times in row combined with free spins, bonuses, ending with $1000+ balances. I never experienced anything close on bingo however, i would currently be happy to win something twice in a row

I might be wrong but I think that it's far more difficult to have a winning streak playing bingo than on slots. I have read here about when would be a good time to play slots, on weekends or during the working days, and all other factors that might affect the game. It all comes down to luck of course, but on bingo if you want to win big, you have to enter the room full of people and your chances are directly and objectively smaller.

Maybe it just has to do with what I can percept because when I enter a bingo room with 200 players with probably more tickets  than I have, or the same number as me, I feel... well, discouraged.   

Does this make sense to anyone? What do you guys think?

I can honestly say that I've never really experienced any streaks at the physical casino, as I wouldn't refer to two trips in a row as a, "Streak."  I've actually only ever played on-line Bingo, and I plan to offer a post about that later tonight from a first-time player perspective.

The only real streak I've ever had was with physical instant lottery tickets.  If I win, I play until I lose, and as soon as I lose one one I am done for the day.  In five consecutive days, I did the following:

1.)  Won $23 on $5.00 in tickets.

2.)  Won $18 on $4.00 in tickets.

3.)  Won $48 on $7.00 in tickets.

4.)  Won $119 on $13.00 in tickets.

5.)  Won $31 on $4.00 in tickets.

Over the five days, I won $239 on $33 in tickets, all Crossword tickets, of varying denominations.  I lost on a $2.00 Crossword ticket on the sixth day.

7.2 : 1 Return on Investment, not bad.

That's the only streak I have ever had as far as gambling is concerned. I've won more money than that total any number of times, but not in the form of a streak.

I kinda think the opposite with bingo because you are playing with a smaller group for the most part. The odds are stacked up against you like playing a slot and trying to hit the jackpot and no one hits for months on end. '

I've always imagined winning something big on those instant tickets but it's never happened. You had a good run there Mission146

It was a good run, although I've won more on a single ticket, on one occasion. 

My personal take on instants is to always go with the tickets that have the lowest grand prize.  The prize pool is usually about the same (and can often be found on-line) for every ticket type of every denomination, so if you have a $2 ticket with a $500,000 winner out there and another $2 ticket with a $25,000 max prize, and each ticket has about $1,000,000 in winners out there, you're going to get more small-moderate prizes on the ticket with the smaller grand prize.

I think it makes sense to do it that way, because you're extremely unlikely to win that grand prize, regardless of the amount.
