I love nothing more than sweating one number when I play bingo. That’s the moment that truly makes bingo an exciting game. I played at the mighty Mecca Bingo but didn’t get the chance to enjoy my moment. Here’s what happened.
The best prizes were in the Club Bingo room. This is a free room but you can upgrade your cards for 10p each and win the Superbook prizes of £50 for one line, £100 for two lines and £150 for the full house. This room was jam packed. Over 500 players were playing. The chat was going crazy. These are people that sit in the free bingo room and the people that upgrade and pay for their books have to compete against them. I found that incredibly annoying. The cards were only 10p but even so there was no hope for us upgraders.
I played several games and each one was won by a free player. I upgraded each time and couldn’t get close. The second I got to around 4 to go, someone won the freebie prize. I’m down to 5 numbers and people are shouting in chat that they have 1 or 2 to go. To be honest, I never experienced a game of bingo that was that bad.
I should have known better and stuck to a room with a smaller prize and less people to compete with. I guess I got a little greedy but I will keep my wits about me from now on. Mecca Bingo is a fantastic site with plenty of other rooms. I could just kick myself for choosing the wrong one.
