PayPal for online bingo sites

Despite it's high profile disdain for online gambling business in the United States, e-cash processor PayPal appears to have no such reservations in the E uropean market, where it continues to sign up top gambling groups for its services.

The latest company to offer PayPal facilities is GTech G2 which says that the agreement will enable its UK bingo partners to offer their players the ability to transfer funds quickly and cost effectively online.

The first partner to offer PayPal to its UK customers is ChitChat Bingo, while other G2 UK-facing partner sites such as Littlewoods, Yahoo, Ann Summers, BingoJoy, InterBingo and MetroBingo go live next (August) month.

Johan Berg, COO of GTech G2 commented: “We are very excited about being able to offer our UK bingo partners the comfort, ease and security that comes with using the PayPal service. This is a great opportunity for us as our worldwide lottery and gaming industry expertise is now coupled with the world's leading e-wallet solution in PayPal."

PayPal is a well known e-wallet solution for the UK and is used primarily to facilitate buying and selling on the online auction site eBay. The service has over 23 million user accounts in the UK, which represents two out of three online shoppers. Users can pay with PayPal on over 165 000 merchant websites across Britain and the rest of Europe.

Other blue chip gambling companies using the service include Paddy Power, Betfair and 32Red.
