Online gambling expansion for Weather Lottery

Lottery organiser will use 'FCBetz.com' branding in new ventures

The Weather Lottery, a UK company which helps organise fund raising lotteries for clients in return for a 40 percent cut, has announced that it is to expand into the UK online gambling sector, although it did not identify with which software provider it would be working.

The company said that it would in future offer online gambling in addition to lottery services, using the branding FC Betz.com. The new venture is in addition to, and will complement, the existing business of TWL.

The lottery company signed a multi year contract with Coventry City Football Club to become its gaming partner this week.

Under this contract TWL will provide a full package of online gaming products to the club and its supporters. In addition TWL will run the Coventry City club Lottery under the new football themed "FC Lotto" brand, which TWL has created specially for the Football Club market.

This contract will commence from the beginning of the football season with TWL providing In-Stadia and Online Gambling in addition to its lottery product to the fan base of Coventry City FC.

The Board believes that this expansion will create additional revenues for the company.

Negotiations are continuing with several other major football clubs and TWL expects to make further announcements, in accordance with the AIM Rules, of similar contracts with other leading football clubs in the near future.

The Board is considering changing of name of the company in order to reflect the wider range of gaming and lottery products which the company will offer to its clients in the future.

As part of our new strategy, we are delighted to be associated with Coventry City Football Club and hope this will lead to more gaming and lottery partnerships in the extremely popular and exciting football sector" said chairman Lord Razzall.
