Flitcroft takes over immediately
An announcement came from the British lottery fundraiser and gaming company The Weather Lottery PLC (TWL) that it has appointed a new Finance Director, Andrew Flitcroft, with immediate effect.
Prior to this, Flitcroft (46), who is a Fellow of The Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, worked in private practice and filled a number of senior finance roles in the technology, internet and service sectors.
In a statement issued by TWL, it has been specified that Flitcroft will greatly strengthen the board which is currently pursuing new opportunities in the leisure sector after quite a difficult period in which its former managing director Keith Milhench and co-worker Amie Pickersgill-Smith were charged and sentenced for the misappropriation of jackpot payments in the amount of GBP 80 000 and which also saw the company going to court because of the Rangers Football Club accusations over non-payments of profits in a joint-venture.
