Tombola Executive Gets Business Executive Award
Cronin's achievements acknowledged

Good news arrived recently to Phil Cronin, CEO of one of the most successful brands in the online bingo industry, Tombola, when he was elected the Durham & Wearside Business Executive of the Year 2011, an award he absolutely deserves given his extensive experience in the industry.

Last year, it was Tombola that received an award - the Online Bingo Operator of the Year, whereas this year Cronin received the North East Entrepreneur of the Year award. The company owes its smashing success mostly to Cronin - the person responsible for Tombola's boost from a company with revenues of £50,000 in 2005 to a giant with predicted 2011 revenues of £26 million and 150 employees.

It has been reported that his plans for the company involve expansion of operations into the Italian market, and strengthening of its positions as one of the best known brands in the European and the UK bingo industry.

In regard to this, Cronin commented: “With luck, good ideas and good people we have a good chance of succeeding in new markets.”
