An argument about unpaid profits ended in court

The Scottish Premier League (SPL) Club "Rangers" and The Weather Lottery (TWL) will appear before the Glasgow Sheriff's Court in a dispute concerning GBP 30 000.

In August 2010, Doncaster-based TWL and the Rangers signed a deal in which TWL was to provide Rangers with online lottery and betting services. But the football club claims TWL owes it GBP 30 000 in unpaid profits derived from operating the online Rangers FC Lotto which was initiated to raise money for the club's youth team.

The Weather Lottery, in its latest annual report, claimed a pre-tax loss in the region of GBP 780 000, and is hoping to offload its faltering FCBetz.com subsidiary, whilst the Rangers Football Club faces financial challenges of its own - currently placed in Administration facing court action and a damages claim from its former chief executive along with the outcome of a first tier tax tribunal.
