Yelling Bingo Too Early Will Cost You In Vegas
Aletha Stainbrook 24, not an avid bingo player, claimed a bingo when in fact she really didn't in a crowd of about 300 people playing Pride Family Wednesday hosted by drag queens at Circus Circus in Las Vegas.

The native from Las Vegas got her 15 minutes of fame for the bingo error after Norma Llyaman and Diana Prince, the two drag queens calling the bingo game called her to the stage. They wanted to show the rest of the crowd what happens when you call "bingo" prematurely.

"Are you diabetic?" Llyaman asked holding a bag of cotton candy in her hand.

Stainbrook admits to being a sugar lover, as Llyaman crammed a handful of pink cotton candy in her mouth and was asked to say "chubby bunny" into the microphone. The moment became hilarious as she tried to speak and it came out sounding like "mumpfee mumpfee."

Stainbrook was a good sport and took in stride with a sense of humor for her bingo flub. It was all in good fun and for a good cause.

"I got free cotton candy. And now I get to say a (drag queen) shoved cotton candy down my throat," Stainbrook said.

The Bingo event played 11 games at $10 each, and all proceeds raised from Pride Family Bingo are donated to the Southern Nevada Association of Pride Inc., a nonprofit organization that produces the local gay Pride festival and parade.

Wednesday's party is just the beginning in what will be a monthly themed celebration at Circus Circus. The theme for July was the circus, explaining the circus attire.

The inaugural event was a red carpet affair, with Chippendales dancers posing for pictures outside the ballroom now turned bingo hall. A buffet with goodies was set up before the start of the bingo session.

Almost all hotel departments partook in the bingo organizing said banquet manager of Circus Circus, Ernie Yuen.

Scott Voeller, MGM Resorts is the International vice president of brand strategy and advertising and believes that diversity is a core value of the company.

For Stainbrook, it is a good thing what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas or does it?
