Bingo for McDonald’s
A McDonald's in Minnesota is hosting weekly bingo games with food coupons as prizes.

"McDonald's: Not the first place one would think of to host a bingo game. And yet it's a weekly tradition that's been going on for years”, said customer Lynne Bergman.

"A few years ago my husband and I saw a sign at the McDonald's in Golden Valley that said they were hosting Senior Bingo at 9 a.m. on Tuesday mornings," she said. "We thought, 'Hey, we should do this sometime.'"

"Now we go every week. It's just been so much fun for us."

The bingo games were originally available to senior citizens but have since begun to welcome all players.

Customers collect bingo cards at no charge and winners receive a free sandwich.

"We had some time to kill, so we walked in here on a Tuesday and saw all these people," bingo player, Paul Johnson said. "We thought, 'What's going on here?' Then we decided to play. Now we come every week.”

"It's a nice little game I can play with this guy," he said of his son. "It's good to help him concentrate and learn numbers. He's at a good age for it, I think."

The bingo games have created a sense of community and opened a new world of friendships over bingo and burgers.
