Real-Money Social Gaming Valuable for GameSys
Speaking at the Social Gambling Conference in London this week, Noel Hayden, chief executive of GameSys, one of the first companies to offer online wagering on Facebook to the UK market, underlined the value real-money social gambling has for the company.

Namely, according to Hayden, GameSys' pioneer Bingo Friendzy app launched in August 2012 has brought positive results to the company.

“The players that we have converted are high-value players,” he said. “The social players are more valuable than our standard real-money players. Real-money gambling games can be very lucrative, generating $500 a month from a paying player, and word about such games can spread very rapidly among friends on Facebook."

In a separate interview, Hayden put a particular stress on the benefits of Facebook's rich viral features and the targeting aspect: "It's unbelievable the targeting you can do on Facebook. We've all had refer-a-friend features in our games, but Facebook enables refer-a-friend on steroids.

“I thought cash gaming moved quickly, but social gaming was moving at light speed,” he added. “You can move really fast with the right team. … It's about the science and the creativity coming together. You have to do all this stuff really fast to compete with the San Francisco dudes.”

As for the company's future plans, apart from the continued development of its Bingo Friendzy and Slot Friendzy applications, GameSys is preparing the launch of a free-to-play social collection game dubbed Here Be Monsters.

In addition to this, the company will move into the mobile sector and maintain its focus on its established web-based and social game developments.
