A double portion of Christmas luck was served to a New Hampshire punter Scott Bennett, who was sold a wrong lottery ticket which turned out to be worth $2.1 million.
Namely, he wanted to buy one ticket each for the Lucky for Life and Megabucks games, but was issued two Megabucks tickets by mistake – as you can guess, one of the two mistakenly bought tickets hit the 2.1-million-dollar Tri-State Megabucks jackpot.
The lucky player opted for a one-time lump payment of $1.3 million. He said he plans to use it to pay down student loan debt for two of his children, send a third child to college, remodel the kitchen, and maybe purchase a few extra Christmas presents.
