Valentine’s Day Bingo Massacre

Valentine’s Day Bingo Massacre
Valentine's Day represents love, romance and steamy hot passion between to lovers. But there is a historic event that still casts a dark cloud over this day when cupid strikes his bow straight to your heart and it is replaced by a rain of bullets.

On February 14th 1929 on a cold winter's day in Chicago Al Capone ordered his henchmen posing as police officers to gun down arch rival George “Bugs” Moran and his gang at their headquarters. That historical day is known as the St. Valentine's Day Massacre when 7 men were gunned down in a garage execution style.

The Prohibition era bred gangsters ruling over big cities in the business of bootleg liquor. It wasn't until 1966 that every state in America one by one ended Prohibition and legalized liquor putting an end to this type of organized crime.

They say history tends to repeat its self as a new era of Prohibition emerges; online bingo and all venues of gambling. This Prohibition creates unregulated markets, a massive loss of revenue that could be generated and takes away the gamblers freedom. It's another massacre of depriving gamblers their rights to play where and when they want to.

But if history is any indication to the map of our future the day of legalized gambling will arrive. Just like the liquor Prohibition, state by state will come full circle in online gambling and the United States will legalize it as a whole.

It is a political process of “yays and nays” until the realization that revenue into the country supersedes power within each camp. In an economic climate of duress it is the only course to take and the gap that divides us is slowing closing in.

Bingo has flourished since the 1500's long before the New World was established and will regain its strength in the community once again with more options than we ever dreamed of. Laptops will be bustling with players in coffee shops, parks and homes. Cell phones will mean more than answering a call or sending a text message as Mobile Gaming becomes the hottest craze.

Thousands of job opportunities will open up reducing the number of unemployed. Major cities and states that are in the red will climb out in a vibrant red, white and blue and justice for all will regained for special community; the gambler.

For now the only game in town is the waiting game…..
