The Bingo Easter Parade
In your Easter bonnet with all the frills upon it, you'll be the grandest fella in the Easter Parade. I'll be all in clover and when they look us over. We'll be the proudest couple in the Easter Parade!

Ahhh yes Easter Sunday is upon us and it certainly is an Easter parade full of wonderful promotions in store for the Bingo community. It is one of the premiere holidays that players are spoiled with exciting treats and generous cash prizes.

The only thing that will be missing is the Easter Bonnet with all those gorgeous frills upon it. In the United States wearing hats is not particularly as vogue as it was in yesteryear in fact it is a fashion that has become obsolete. That is unless of course you are attending the Kentucky Derby.

The US has borrowed and embraced the UK's 90 ball bingo and it is has fast become one of the most popular games next to 75 ball bingo. There is something about 1 line, 2 line and Full House and three chances to win that adds that extra zing and excitement to the game.

Hats are still a big sensation in the UK and if you look back on Prince William and Princess Kate's wedding or the Queen's Jubilee there were enough hats that even the Mad Hatter would be jealous of. Gala events include guests wearing bonnets of every shape, color and size. There are crazy, wild head coverings with brilliant plums, veils and exotic flowers.

It's a tradition that many American woman wish would come back and surely some gentlemen folk as well. In the 20's you had the flapper hats, the 40's were reserved for the pill box hats and in the 60's was the love child era of straw hats. Men in fancy suits looked debonair in top hats and fedoras.

The question at hand is how do we bring back the fashion of hats? The Bingo community would be a good place to start! There is certainly a large enough crowd to cause quite a stir. This Easter Sunday instead of throwing on a pair of jeans and a shirt that has PINK written across the back, we should all unite and where the biggest most outrageous hat. Every player could march right in the nearest bingo hall and start a real Easter Parade.

Happy Easter to one and all and may the Easter Bunny fill your basket this year with lots and lots of glorious bonnets and winning bingo cards.
