A woman, Karen Moore, steals £120,000 from her great uncle's life savings to fund her online bingo addiction.
Moore said: 'I became addicted and couldn't stop.
'I didn't realise how much money I had spent until it got out of control.
'As soon as I realised, I went straight to the police and told them everything.'
Her addiction became so serious that she spent £10,400 in an evening playing online bingo.
Moore was trusted with her great uncle's, Francisco Barerra, bank account when he went into a care home in August 2010.
She had taken £119,678.44 from his account before she turned herself in to police. She was nine months pregnant and believed that she had only withdrawn £30,000 from the account.
Police visited Barerra's home where social workers told them Francisco's informed them that he owed them £10,000.
Barerra told police: 'I don't take anything to do with my savings. My family takes care of them.
'Karen is like a daughter to me. I'm very shocked to find out about this.'
Barerra passed away three months before the case was heard in court at the age of 84. He didn't want Moore to be charged. Sentencing has been postponed until May 2013.
