Lady Luck was kind to a Californian single mother-of-four Thuan Le these days when she saw a 42 million-to-1 windfall worth $14 million in the state lottery on a ticket she bought without initially intending to.
It was learned from the California State Lottery statement that the lucky lady accidentally put $6 instead of her usual $5 in an online self-service terminal at a local convenience store where she buys tickets. Nevertheless, she decided to use all the money and for the extra $1 in credit, she got another SuperLotto Plus ticket - you guess, the winning one.
The number 5, 33, 25, 46, 32 plus Mega number, 26 on the ticket were later on drawn and she became the winner of the $14 million jackpot. Upon discovering her good fortune and how much she'd won, Le reportedly ran screaming from the store.
She was reported as saying that she plans to buy a house, travel, and visit her parents in Vietnam when she gets the monies.
