This week, West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee has introduced a ban on the internet lottery enterprise "Online Lotto," stating "the creation of social problems" as the reason for the ban.
She noted that an official notification would be issued soon, and that the lottery, introduced by the previous Left Front government in the province, had led to family strife and disputes.
