Illegal Bingo Club Shut Down in Malaga
Police discovered and closed down an illegal bingo club in Malaga.

National Police raided a club and uncovered 12,000 bingo cards and €1,175 in cash in addition to several other bingo related items.

Police has discovered and shut down five other similar establishments in Malaga province this year located in Velez-Malaga and Villanueva del Rosario.

Upon arrival at the latest underground bingo hall, police found 80 people sitting at tables on an outdoor terrace and 20 more people sitting inside.

Among some the items seized were bingo cards, televisions, DVD players and laptop computers.

The sites were not properly licensed for gambling nor had the required taxes been paid. The Junta said the actions of the individuals running these were fraudulent and that these clubs were in competition with the legal law abiding clubs that do pay taxes.

Police said that over 2,503 prosecutions have already taken place in Andalucia in 2012.
