Florida Bingo Hall Forced to Shut Down
Star Bingo located in Daytona Beach on 1116 Beville Rd. was shut down after what appeared to be an Internet café operation.

The establishment was closed down on Wednesday after getting a tip on Tuesday there was illegal gambling.

Hector Garcia head code enforcement officer said it was the second time in recent months the city closed Star Bingo.

The code officer discovered 30 computers occupied by customers playing games. Star Bingo is only licensed and allowed to have traditional Bingo games twice a week but was operating 7 days a week.

The Bingo hall also violated zoning regulations that are only permitted on the far west side of town.

There has been a recent crackdown on businesses charging people to play games on computers.

Pete's Retreat was forced to shut down after learning it was running an internet café several weeks ago.

Other closures included Holly Hill and The Fraternal Order of Eagles 4033.
