Plans to Transfer Management of Pennsylvania Lottery Cancelled
The deal between the Pennsylvania state lottery and UK based lottery company Camelot has fallen through after opposition from politicians, lottery employees and state officials has surfaced with regard to Governor Tom Corbett's plan transfer management.

It's been more than a year since the state entered into an agreement with Camelot Global Services LLC allowing them to manage the Pennsylvania lottery but state Attorney General Kathleen Kane would not approve the arrangement.

"As we move forward, we will take what we've learned to make our successful lottery even better - expanding the player and retailer base, improving player loyalty, and implementing strategies that will grow our lottery, responsibly and efficiently," Corbett said.

"The need still exists to grow the lottery to provide a predictable and reliable revenue stream for those that benefit from it," according to Corbett's spokesperson Jay Pagni.
