What Could Have Provoked a Shooting Outside a Bingo Hall?
A story hit the news recently regarding a shooting outside of a Gala Bingo hall. The police refer to the incident as a “targeted attack” and we'll go over that part but first here is the story.

A mother, 56, and her son, 22, were outside the bingo club in Manchester. They got in their car and were preparing to leave the car park when a black car came out of nowhere blocking them in and began shooting.

The mother was shot in the elbow while the son had injuries to his wrist. Thank goodness the shot weren't fatal. The car took off and the injured pair drove away, abandoned their car and went to a nearby hospital, North Manchester General Hospital. Police later found their car. The police also feel that this was a “targeted attack”.

According to the International Business Times, Det supt Alex Millet said, "This appears to be a targeted incident which could have had even more dire consequences. Thankfully it doesn't look like either are too seriously injured.

"We believe the black car was driven by two white men and it's from that car that the shots were fired.

"I want to reassure people that we have had armed response officers to the scene and are now investigating.

Police are still looking for information and leads related to the shooting.

Why would someone target these people? Could they have won and become the victims of a gunman? Then again there was no robbery involved. Maybe they cut in front of them in line to buy their tickets or maybe they were sitting at their favorite table. Jokes aside, this is was an awful way to end a day at bingo and we are thankful that no one was seriously hurt.
