NASPL Opposes Online Gambling Ban
The North American Association of State & Provincial Lotteries (NASPL) is yet another trade body that opposes Sheldon Adelson's campaign to ban online gambling in the United States.

In a letter to Sen. Graham, the Association's executive director, David Gale said:

“Our Association believes, and is on record, that all gaming should be left up to the individual states to determine the games that are offered, as well as the manner in which they are being delivered to their customers.

“This is, and has always been, a state's right to make these decisions as they relate to gaming within its respective borders.

"Since lottery products are sold in a competing market, it is important that we continue to design and offer secure games that people want to play so that lottery states can continue to fund the much-needed programs and/or services for which lottery revenues are earmarked.

“It is our intent, and indeed our obligation, to protect our traditional games and to position our industry for growth."
