Live Long and Play Bingo
If Bingo could keep me young, I'd never do anything else! One bingo player says that the secret to her long and happy life has been her friends, social life and, of course, bingo.

Ethel Denny, of Yarm, Stockton-on-Tees, is 94 years old and claims that the brain activity keeps her young. I've heard similar stories in the past and I do believe there is some truth to it. Anything that requires you to think and not sit around like a lump can strengthen your mind, including bingo.

Denny recently celebrated her 94 years on this earth at a bingo hall where she claims that she hasn't won a thing in a year. Each week she travels by taxi to Beacon Bingo and pays nearly £30 each way, doesn't win and yet she's so happy. She truly enjoys the social aspect.

According to the Mirror, Denny said, "It keeps your brain active and even at my age I play six books.

"I once won £2,000 about 15 years ago. But it's a long time since I've won anything. My last win was about £30 a year ago."

Denny has been playing bingo for 30 years and says, "You could stay in the house and look at four walls but you would lose your buttons."

One thing is for sure, her energy and mental state seems to show no age. I'm beginning to think that I chose the right game. Live long and play bingo!
