Minnesota lawmakers continue to fight state lottery director Ed Van Petten's online product offerings, which they believe should have received their approval prior to launch.
Van Petten, has the support of Governor Mark Dayton, who says he had the right to launch online lottery services without state approval.
Van Petten says that he would agree to obtain approval for future expansions; however shutting down the online lottery sales and instant win games would be a major blow to the Minnesota state lottery and result in less funding the state and environmental programs.
