Gala Bingo Updates Privacy Policy
Gala Bingo players probably received an email regarding upcoming changes to its Privacy Policy and may be wondering what it means to you. Often times the changes are minor and don't really impact how your information is used. In this case they've extended it quite a bit and we want to ensure that our members are aware of the new policy.

According to the email notification:

This email is to notify you that we will be rolling out changes to the Gala Bingo Privacy Policy (“Privacy Policy”), which will be effective from 30 August 2016 (the “Effective Date”).

The changes made to our Privacy Policy are primarily to clarify what personal information we collect and how your personal information will be used. As such, we draw your attention to clauses 2.1 and 3.1 of the new Privacy Policy. We have also updated our cookie policy in clause 5. Whilst these are the key changes to the Privacy Policy you should review the new terms in their entirety.

In terms of how your information will be collected, used and shared the most significant part of course pertains to third parties. Please note sections 2, 3 and 5 as they are the areas that have been affected.

Here are a few points of interest in section 2, which relates to the information they collect:

2.1.14 transaction history and details of bets, gaming payments and other transactions You conduct via the Service and (where relevant) details of the fulfilment of any of Your orders, and any other Website activity;

2.1.18 Your use of our Service and your use of certain third party services

There are many more points within this section so be sure to read it thoroughly.

Partners were mentioned above and they are listed in section 3, regarding how they use your information:

3.1.19 to deliver information to You regarding Gala Interactive (Gibraltar) Limited and (where appropriate) any other company in the Gala Coral Group and/or our affiliates, suppliers, partners, subcontractors and other selected third parties.

Players have from now through the end of the month to review and accept the new policy.
